How do you commission an Heirloom Masterpiece?
Call to set up an appointment with the artist and bring a variety of photos. Together a decision will be made as to how to transform your photo into a meaningful painting.
Does the Heirloom Masterpiece have to be a portrait?
The answer is easy, "No." Many people have a favorite vacation spot, a family home, a family pet or meaningful items that could be put into a still life painting. One client brought five items that had belonged to her grandmother and a painting called, "Grandmother's Treasures" was created.
How much will it cost?
Prices vary depending on the size of the painting, the subject matter and the style of painting that is selected by the client. A price is established before any work begins. Commissions require a 50% deposit. .
How long will it take for the painting to be completed?
The time depends upon the size of the painting and the subject matter. Plan on approximately three months, once the final decision has been made and the contract has been signed.
Why is a contract needed?
The contract protects the client and the artist. The contract states that the artist will not raise the price, regardless of how much time it takes to complete the painting. It also safeguards the artist in regards to a deposit and final payment
Using a Formal Portrait
The transformation to a timeless masterpiece. Changing the hair style, adding pearls and a soft coat provides a classic look for a timeless masterpiece. The viewer can no longer identify the era in which the portrait was created.
